- The old town
While passing through our guesthouse, stop in the town of Uzès. Discover its Place aux Herbes, its Medieval Garden, Saint-Théodorit Cathedral, and the Ducal Castle. The Duchy is an unmissable monument: in the center of the city, this former military building will impress you with its keep, the Bermonde tower, its ramparts and its corner towers. This building has survived the ages, today offering you great tours. Enjoy the sweetness of life in Uzès, strolling through the cobbled streets, meeting the many "Historical Monuments" of the city.
- The Uzès market
Asparagus from Uzège, gariguettes, organic eggs, pélardons, winegrowers ... around sixty producers fill the Place aux Herbes every Wednesday. For more than twenty years, this farmers market has been the symbol of the excellence of local Gard products and a pioneer of short supply chains.
The Saturday market, with its 200 exhibitors, is renowned for its colors, its smells which make it a very popular place for tourists. Uzès has acquired notoriety over the years thanks to the friendliness and authenticity that reigns in its markets. And for a long time, since the first known market place aux Herbes was organized in 1241!
Beyond its weekly markets, Uzès promotes local production and gastronomy throughout the year with many events dedicated to the terroir: month of the truffle, olive festival, fair garlic, wine festival and for over twenty years a Christmas market. There is something for everyone!

Many events punctuate the year in Uzès. You may have the chance to participate in the "Uzès Danse" event, the "Festival du Conte" or the "Nuits Musicales d'Uzès". The unmissable event of the year takes place every third Sunday in January, it is "Truffle Day".
